Five years ago the Metropolitan Opera in New York relayed a performance of Mozart'sThe Magic Flute Live in High Definition to cinemas across America. The incredible immediacy of this live broadcast, with everything from backstage interviews to curtain calls, changed the way people around the world experienced opera forever.
In 2010-11 Opera Ireland will bring a third season of Met Live in HD broadcasts to Irish cinemas and theatres. It's your chance to get to The Met without airport security, baggage fees and jet lag!
